Who wouldn't wish for a fairy godmother? Well, June certainly did. But when her fairy godmother cast a spell on her, making it impossible for her to tell a lie, life in middle school suddenly became much more challenging.

The harsh reality hit sixth-grader June Jackson like a ton of bricks. (After all, she once told her best friend she didn't like her shoes, and they ended up not speaking for a whole week!) Ever since that incident, June had chosen to sugarcoat the truth, believing that a little white lie here and there could keep the peace with her loved ones.

However, when June's fairy godmother mysteriously appeared in a dazzling cloud of glitter, she bestowed upon June the gift of truth-telling. Now, June had no option but to speak her mind and express her true feelings. And the truth was, June was feeling incredibly stressed out. Between the pressures of middle school, the conflicts with her friends, and the sky-high expectations of her parents, June felt like she was suffocating under the weight of it all.

As her life began to spiral out of control, June was faced with a daunting question: Would she find solace in embracing honesty and facing the consequences, or would she be forever tormented by the curse placed upon her by her fairy godmother?
